Full article:

Intense, earnest, electronic pop is the last thing I expected from Jonathan Richards, former guitarist of umpteen UK noise rock bands, but that’s what he’s offering on this solo outing under the Kreol Lovecall moniker. His voice is undistinguished, his vocal melodies are limited in range, but what immediately holds the interest is his intelligent use of catchy little synth hooks and shiny guitar textures, set against understated drum machine beats and liquid basslines. Glimpses, with its baroque harpsichords and glittering guitars, is one of several musical highlights, but it’s also worth paying attention to Richards’ highly topical, socio-political lyrics.
