Full article:

Multiple-Norwegian Grammy winner Thom Hell is little-known here but with eight albums to his credit, he’s virtually a permanent fixture in his homeland. As a songwriter, he mines the past, but easily assimilates his influences, from The Beatles to The Beach Boys and Blur, into a contemporary musical environment. Blessed with a voice as sweet and melodious as Harry Nilsson’s, he creates songscapes that challenge the ears as often as they hit the nostalgia button dead centre. His simple piano lines push the songs along with a bounce that’s hard to resist, his electronic orchestrations are subtle and his deliberately naive lyrics are easy to sing along with.
