Short story:

Full article:

Geoff Ellis (promoter, DF Concerts) : One turning point I noticed in Coldplay's career was when they’d been away in the States promoting the Rush Of Blood To The Head album and they came back and wanted to do an underplay, which they did at Queen’s Hall, a 900 capacity converted church in Edinburgh, lovely venue, still has the pews and everything. Having been an indie band with Yellow, then Parachutes sold truckloads, and you could see they were going to become a stadium band. They went in there with a great production and immense sound and you just knew it was a tipping point. You knew this was not just a band with a few good songs and an enthusiastic fanbase, you could see they had a plan, and they would be able to execute it. They weren’t even selling out arenas at that point but you could see where they were going.
