Fact #125923
When:
Short story:
The Rolling Stones continue recording (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction at RCA Studios, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
Full article:
Keith Richards (guitarist, Rolling Stones) : We left it in the studio basically thinking, 'This is good, but it needs working up yet.'
(Producer) Andrew Oldham went to work. I guess he thought, 'They can work it up all they want, but it's about the freshness and the timing.' Which is, after all, everything.
Mick Jagger (vocalist, Rolling Stones) : Keith didn't really like it that much. He admits that, and it's really quite generous of him. Andrew and I thought it was a definite single. We loved it.
Keith Richards : Then, like ten days later, we heard it on the radio … and since it shot up the charts, as we liked things to do in those days, you'd say, 'All right, Andrew – you were right.'
