I was trying a tune myself, a Mose Allison-ish bluesy thing called Slow Walking Talk and could play all the parts, the drums and the organ, because I could multi-track, but I couldn't play bass. He just appeared at the door, sat around for a bit and then said, 'Need a bass part for that?'
