Ron Terry (booking agent) : Jimi used to do Star-Spangled Banner near the end of every show but, when we did it in Houston, a few minutes past our 11pm curfew, the cops got weird. As he was playing the anthem, a cop came over and pushed me up against a wall, telling me to instruct them to stop. I said, 'Hey, he can't stop right in the middle of a song! Don't worry about it…' We got through that night but the vibes backstage after the show were terrible. We didn't know if we were going to get out of there.
