Tommy Dean (owner, Max’s Kansas City) : It was the night of the last gig at Max’s that he and Nancy made their suicide pact. That was the day they went out and bought knives and, after the gig, they gave all their equipment to a good friend of theirs called Neon Leon.
Anne Beverley (mother of Sid Vicious) : About eight weeks later I was given a tape of the show, but by then it was way too late, I knew this was going to be Simon's last shot at being a rock star.
Bob Gruen (rock photographer) : It really wasn’t long after those gigs that Nancy died, and then Sid died. I can’t say I was really surprised, but it was a terrible sadness.
