Joe Boyd (record producer) : Peter Jenner and Andrew King were colleagues of mine at the London Free School, cradle of the London Underground scene. They knew Pink Floyd from Cambridge and invited them to play at our fundraisers in Powis Square Church Hall.

Steve Abrams (cannabis legalisation campaigner) : You could put the very beginning of the underground in 65, when Hoppy started the Free School with Michael X and a few other people. He started UFO, IT, the Free School, and he had one or two other things going as well. He was really organising everything.
