Donovan releases his third single, Turquoise, on Pye Records in the UK. The single's b-side, Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness) includes the phrase "buy you a sugarcube" - a reference to LSD which, at the time, was often consumed in sugarcubes. On the same day, it is revealed that Donovan's upcoming tour of the USA has been cancelled.
