Jazz and r'n'b saxophonist Noble Watts dies aged 78 from a combination of pneumonia and emphysema, in DeLand, Florida, USA. Under the name Noble 'Thin Man' Watts, he played in the house band at The Apollo, Harlem, new York City, and worked with Lionel Hampton's Orchestra. As a solo performer he released a series of singles on Baton Records, including the instrumental hits Hard Times [The Slop] in 1957 and Jookin' in 1961.
