Artist Francis Barraud sells a painting of his dog to The Gramophone Company, Maiden Lane, London, UK. In the painting, his dog, Nipper, is listening to the sound emerging from a gramophone horn. The painting, which Barraud had titled His Master's Voice and sold for £100, will become an internationally famous trademark of the HMV Record company.
