The Palomar Ballroom sponsors The Swingeroo, also described as The World's Biggest Jitterbug Contest, at the Los Angeles Coliseum, Los Angeles, California, USA, with music supplied by Artie Shaw and his Orchestra. Over 1,000 contestants dance in heats starting at 7:00 am and continuing until 6:00 pm on a 12,000 foot dance floor.
