Mike Felix (drummer, Migil Five) : Alan Freeman (UK radio deejay) had already suggested a couple of songs to us, and asked us to come up with suitable arrangements. But we didn't really like any of his ideas, so we hadn't bothered. In the end, it turned out that the song he'd really fancied was an old Les Paul and Mary Ford number, Mockingbird Hill, so we suggested we try it out as a bluebeat. We did a quick run-through, then winged it. You can tell it was a rushed job. There's a clickety-click going on behind the beat, which we left in because it was in tempo. It was my snare drum, bouncing against my tom-tom.
