Andrew Zweck : It was still the wild west days then in Brazil. I remember Mark playing a circular venue called Gigantinho in Porto Alegre which had about 12,000 capacity. Our promoter, Jose Muniz, had sold it to a local guy who had then sold way more tickets than the capacity, maybe 18 or 20,000. Every stairway, gangway, every exit and corridor, was full. Even backstage, Mark's route to the stage was crammed with people.

We had to bring in the police to clear a route to the stage for Mark. It wasn't Muniz who had done it, but we held him accountable, and he was great, because the local guy was nowhere to be found. We insisted on being paid a very large bonus.
