Bobby Womack (The Valentinos) : Sam Cooke kept telling us about the chart, but we didn't really understand. One day he pulled me aside and said, 'Hey Bobby, you guys got a bullet.' I said, 'What does this mean? Are people shooting at us on stage?' Sam said, 'It means that you're gonna jump ten places in the charts.' As soon as we realised what he was talking about we went out and did some dumb things, like buying two watches so that we could wear one on each arm.
