The song, composed by Gershon Kingsley of electronic duo Perrey And Kingsley, will also provide some melodic inspiration for the Jean Michel Jarre track Oxygene IV. [Jarre had previously covered Popcorn in 1971 under the pseudonym of The Pop Corn Orchestra].
