John Martyn : People kept telling me that Genesis were pretty cool, but as I lived in London at the time I didn’t hook up with that sort of stuff. But when I did hook up with Phil Collins for Grace And Danger, it was a very positive thing. He is one of the most natural musicians I’ve worked with and I’ve worked with some beautiful people. He is also a really good person, which isn’t always the case with great musicians.

John Martyn : It’s my most emotional album. It’s not a favorite by any means, although I listened to it the other month and I thought I would go out and just play it coz I like the tunes.
Yeah that’s happening in November I think. I won’t be doing the whole album I don’t think.
It’s very simple, it’s very bluesy and it’s very emotional. So I can allow the band a whole lot of space to fucking play on it and just make it sound bigger and fatter than it was, it’s actually quite a bare thing.
