Robert Smith (The Cure) : I didn’t want to do another long tour ever again, but I’d really enjoyed doing festivals so, rather than doing six nights at Hammersmith, I thought, ‘We’ll just play Wembley.’ Everyone said we wouldn’t fill it on our own but it sold out. Budgie came and thought it was one of the best gigs he'd ever been to.
