Colin Rodger (event manager, T In the Park) : Robbie Williams first came to T In the Park when it was still in Strathclyde Park. He had just left Take That and he appeared at the festival. He came to me and asked if he could sit on the side of the mainstage and I sorted it out for him. We gave him a few cans of beer and he sat there the whole day and watched the bands perform, just taking it all in. He was great.
Then, when he headlined in 1998, myself and our festival director Geoff Ellis were standing there when he came off the stage in tears because he was physically and emotionally shocked by the wonderful reaction he got. rn(Source : interview with Johnny Black, 2008)
