Roger Waters (bassist/songwriter, Pink Floyd) : Yeah, it was just a tune around those sevenths, and I knew that there had to be a song about money in the piece, and I thought that the tune could be a song about money and having decided that, it was extremely easy to make up a seven beat intro that went well with it. I often think that the best ideas are the most obvious ones, and that’s why it sounds good.
