Towards the end of U2's Vertigo tour, at Mount Smart Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand, as Bono walks out the venue after the show, he asks stage designer Willie Williams if, on their next tour, there might be a way the band could play to all the stadium. Their discussions will lead to the development of a massive structure known as The Claw, which will be used during the band's 360 Degree tour.
