Bobby Womack : I thought I was crazy; then I met Sly. He'd be laying on the piano whacked out of his brain when it was time to do a vocal, and they'd have to lay the microphone next to his head. That's why it came out, (sings) "Waaan chiiiile grows up to beee!" I had to laugh when I read about this new singing style of Sly's that was so raw. Man, he was just fucked up!
