Al Hendrix : It was an on-and-off affair. It didn't work out too well. So we finally just got divorced in 1950. Leon was about a year old when we got divorced. We were staying at the projects up on Yesler Street. I stayed on in the projects with the kids and she moved.
Jimmy's mother didn't come by very often. It was a bit of a struggle for us. He got on my nerves at times, like all kids do, but we had good times too.
