Fact #63629
When:
Short story:
Aspiring rock star Jimmy Hendrix [Jimi Hendrix] signs a contract with Sue Records and Copa Management in New York City, USA.
Full article:
Juggy Murray (owner, Sue Records] : I thought he was great. He came down to my studio a couple of times before he signed a management and recording contract with me. At that time Jimmy wasn't playing the way that he ended up playing, but I knew the guy was going to be great, so I signed him.
When he was around, we would rehearse … but we never completed anything. You wouldn't see him for two or three months. All this guy did was play his guitar for anybody and everybody, from when he woke up in the morning to the last thing he did before he went to bed. He'd put that guitar down to go to sleep and it would be the first thing he'd pick up in the morning.
