Short story:
During a supposedly 'live' gig in Lake Compounce Park, Bristol, Connecticut, USA, the computer controlling manufactured pop duo Milli Vanilli's lip-synch system breaks down. Vocalist Rob Pilatus rushes off stage, ashamed. The incident will ultimately prove that the band were not the originators of the vocals on their records, and will lead to their Grammy Award being rescinded.

Rob Pilatus (Milli Vanilli) : I knew right then and there, it was the beginning of the end for Milli Vanilli. When my voice got stuck in the computer, and it just kept repeating and repeating, I panicked. I didn’t know what to do. I just ran off the stage.
Todd Headlee (manager, Milli Vanilli) : Every record company official at Arista and BMG knew about it. Everybody in the management company knew it. That’s why most of their employees are forced to sign a confidential clause binding them to stay silent.
