Louise Chase (journalist) : Marley’s coming was greeted with near religious zeal, as people who had sat, lazed and sunbathed their way through a sleepy afternoon’s entertainment, rose to their feet craning for a view … the atmosphere was electric as thousands swayed and danced to insistent reggae rhythms. Even the trees moved in time - something of a puzzle until I realised they were all chock-a-bloc with swinging, clinging fans.
