William Beau Burnette III is born to Dorsey and Alberta Burnette in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He will find success as guitarist and songwriter Billy Burnette. After releasing his first single at the age of 7, Hey Daddy [I'm Gonna Tell Santa On You by Billy Beau on Dot Records, he will go on tour with Brenda Lee at the age of 13. He will establish himself as a songwriter in the 1970s with songs for The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Rod Stewart, Cher, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles and others, and will join Fleetwood Mac in the late 80s.
