Short story:

The Beatles record six tracks, including I Feel Fine, Rock And Roll Music and Kansas City, for their next album, Beatles For Sale, at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, London, UK.

Full article:

George Martin (producer) : The recording was beginning to get more sophisticated, already a better recording. And we were able to overdub at this stage. The lead voice is Paul, with George and John on the backing.

Paul McCartney : I remember doing the vocal to Kansas City - well I couldn't quite get it, because it's hard to do that stuff. You know, screaming out the top of your head. You (John Lennon] came down from the control room and took me to one side and said "You can do it, you've just got to scream, you can do it." So, thank you. Thank you for that. I did it.

Bo Diddley : The Beatles wasn't really rock'n'roll. I don't know what you'd call it But I Don't accept the word rock'n'roll with The Beatles. They don't belong in the list of rock'n'rollers. They was like, more or less, folk country or sumthin'. I don't know what it was.
