Short story:

The book Confessions Of A Yakuza by Japanese author Jun'ichi Saga is published in the USA. After buying the book in Fukuoka, Japan, Bob Dylan will be so inspired by its content that the lyric of his song Floater on the 2001 album Love And Theft will include six lines that bear remarkable resemblances to lines in the book. According to a feature in the Wall Street Journal, Dylan appears to have lifted about a dozen passages from Dr. Saga's book throughout the album.
