Tom Wheeler (guitarist/journalist) : Mike Bloomfield ambled onstage in bedroom slippers, the world’s baggiest-assed jeans and a black leather motorcycle jacket with belts and buckles hanging down. He strapped on his funky Stratocaster for a rousing Like A Rolling Stone and came out with both barrels blazing. He was daring, reckless. I thought he’d never played better and he received the evening’s wildest ovation.
