Cher : We hung out with The Byrds before any of us had hits. The Byrds were really good friends with us until that whole thing happened with All I Really Want To Do. (The Byrds' producer) Terry Melcher was a big asshole. He came up to Sonny and said, 'I'm gonna bury you and that bitch.' We'd recorded the song at the same time, we weren’t trying to compete with The Byrds' version. But it was an unbelievable time to be there. We were being inundated by you Brits, but there was a whole little scene happening there on the Strip between It's Boss and the Whisky A Go-Go.
