The MC5 perform live for eight hours non-stop during a protest demonstration, sometimes described as a riot, at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Folk singer Phil Ochs also performs and Neil Young shows up but the chaos at the convention prevents him from performing. Ed Sanders of The Fugs and Country Joe McDonald of Country Joe And The Fish are also present, but do not perform.
