Short story:

Full article:

Sweden's Maria Linden and Fredrik Balck have reversed the standard roles of male/female rock duos - she composes the music, he writes the words and then she sings them. The suitably funereal I Kill Your Love, Baby! could soundtrack the most enigmatic moment in a David Lynch movie, Empty Bottles sounds like The Ronettes mashed up with Yellow Magic Orchestra and the closing No Way Outro propels a gorgeous melody on massive battering ram percussion. Their heavily electronic songs are intense, dark and disturbing but also often startlingly beautiful, especially when Linden is singing, her fragile voice swamped by titanic waves of keyboards, delays and echoes.
