Bryn Yemm (local musician) : I was a local singer at the time and because of that I got backstage and kept the boys company until John Lennon arrived. He had been doing a show in London. Before John arrived, Paul and I went out of the dressing room and we looked at the crowd waiting for the concert. He was very pleased but wanted to hide in case the fans saw him. When John arrived he did not say much and looked a bit tired. I could not take it all in because as a singer I was bigger in Abergavenny than they were!

Their manager, Brian Epstein, came up to me and said, "I've heard you're a singer. You must come down to London and see me." But I was very nervous and taken aback when he said that.

I liked Ringo because out of them all he seemed the most friendly and chatted to everyone. You could tell at the time that Paul thought he was the big personality of the band and you could also tell John did not really like Paul's showbiz-style personality. Paul came up to me and asked, 'Who are you?' and I said, 'I'm just a local kid that can sing a bit.' He laughed and put his thumb up, saying, 'I like that.'
