Jazz vibraphonist and percussionist John Joseph Brokensha aka Jack Brokensha, is born in Nailsworth, Adelaide, Australia. He will find success with The Australian Jazz Quartet. After meeting Berry Gordy of Motown Records, Brokensha will be hired as a percussionist, becoming one of the few white members of Motown studio's house band, The Funk Brothers.
