Russell Warby (agent) : That was a challenging time in the band’s history, they were adapting to having become incredibly famous overnight, but in Sweden there was already a culture for bands like them, with Swedish bands like Union Carbide Productions.

I remember sitting in a bar in Finland, it was crazy, Finland, mid-summer, and I saw the most drunk people I’ve ever seen in the middle of the day. People were literally falling in front of the vehicle I was in. I travelled up there separately with the band.

It was a fantastic show there. 20,000 people and no stage barrier, just a line of men in orange vests holding the audience back. It was kind of insane, but the band loved it. I remember sitting with them afterwards and someone had lobbed a guitar at the stage during the show, and it was a Russian guitar, and the guy that threw it came back and claimed it, and they gave it back to him.

We went back to the hotel in Helsinki and it was still light, sunlight blazing in through the curtains, and there was a disco in the hotel and I said to the promoter, Thomas Johansson, "Let’s go to the disco!" And Thomas was like, "No, we don’t go to the club in the hotel." He knew that someone had gone to that disco a week earlier and got stabbed. So I reckon Thomas probably saved my life that night.
