'General' Norman Johnson (The Showmen] : It Will Stand is the most important song I've written because it opened the door.
It went around the country and hit number one in a lot of major cities. Dick Clark, host of American Bandstand, even proclaimed It Will Stand was the Anthem of Rock And Roll.
But Minit went into a financial depression and couldn't seriously promote us. The next thing I know, nothing's happening. I'm in Norfolk, becoming a very good pool player and crapshooter. I was in the life - nothing crazy, no drugs - but trying to figure out what I should do with my music.
