Short story:

A joint birthday party is held for Patti Boyd and jazz flute player Paul Horn at the meditation centre of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Rishikesh, India, Asia. The party is attended by George Harrison, Paul McCartney and John Lennon of The Beatles, plus Mike Love of The Beach Boys and Donovan. Also attending is McCartney's girlfriend Jane Asher.

Nicholas Nugent (party guest) : The party commenced on the Maharishi's arrival with prayers for which the company stood and listened silently to the chantings of their guru. All formality was after abandoned and the company sang 'Happy birthday' to both Patti and Paul (Horn), who sat cross-legged on the stage behind their birthday cake.
