During a BBC live radio session for John Peel's Top Gear, Dave Edmunds' Love Sculpture perform a rock version of Khatchaturian's Sabre Dance so powerful that Peel plays it twice in the same show. When Parlophone Records hear it, they insist that Edmunds should record it as a single, so he does, gaining a No5 chart entry as a result.
