Kevin Donovan (manager, The Place) : Towards the end of their set there was about a dozen of us left to witness one of the best bands who ever played The Place. They experienced the biggest 'walk-away' I have ever seen, as the crowds thronged into the bar and other parts of the club. It puzzled me that the musically-aware Place members turned their back in unison on an amazing band who were so positively going to make it.
