Fact #170602
When:
Short story:
Neat Change play at The Marquee Club, Soho, London, England, UK, Europe, supported by Yes.
Full article:
Phil Collins : I went to see Yes at The Marquee, the very first Yes with Peter Banks and Bill Bruford. I was sitting in a crowd of forty people and the guy next to me told me that Bill was leaving to go back to Leeds University. So I went backstage and introduced myself to Jon Anderson, who'd been in a band called The Warriors with the keyboard player from my band Flaming Youth.
So Jon said, 'Yeah, sure. Just give us a call and we'll set up an audition.' I took his number and for some reason I never called them. I still don't know why. I idolised that band. They were the best Yes by far. I felt I could really fit in with them. But I never called and I often wonder how my life would have changed if I had called and done the audition and got that gig.
