With Neil Young and CSN both lately issuing extensive archive compilations, the time may be right for this Montreal septet who deliver the kind of songs that Young and Co seem to have long since forgotten how to write. Most of their material comes from their three on-board writers, Gordon Fleming, Larry Cassini and Kirk Fontaine, each of whom has a distinctive style, but egos are never allowed to unbalance the group sound.
