Matt "Guitar" Murphy, a Chicago blues sideman for Howlin' Wolf, Memphis Slim and others, but perhaps most widely known for his role in The Blues Brothers Band and in their movies, dies aged 88, in Miami, Florida, USA. No cause of death is given, but it is known that he had suffered a stroke in 2002.
