Fact #166662

When:

Short story:

The Jimi Hendrix Experience is in The Record Plant, New York City, recording with Buddy Miles and Jim McCarty. Some sources allege that Jack Bruce of Cream was also present, but Cream were playing on that same night almost 600km distant in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Full article:

Jack Bruce : This is another of those mythical sessions that I have absolutely no memory of. In fact, I can't remember ever playing in the Record Plant with Jimi. (N.B. This seems likely, as Cream were playing on that same evening in Montreal, Canada, almost 600km away)

Noel Redding (bassist, JHE) : We'd be in the studio for days on end but we'd just never get any work done 'cos Hendrix would arrive with fourteen hundred hangers-on.

Tony Bongiovi (engineer) : I remember Noel being so stoned on a couple of sessions that he couldn't even stand up to play.
