Ed Cassidy (drummer, Spirit) : I remember we played two nights around 1968 with The Cream in Anaheim, in the valley when they were here on tour. First night we were pretty intimidated, because Cream was pretty big at that time, but the second night we got our second wind and when we came to do Elijah, it came time for Randy's guitar solo, and he ran to the microphone, turned off his guitar and played it like an acoustic, and he told the audience a little story about life and death, and you could have heard a pin drop.
