Bill Drummond (manager, Echo And The Bunnymen) : I’ll never forget the sight of 1,500 people queuing outside Brian’s Diner for breakfast, or the banana fight that erupted on board the Mersey ferry. The Cathedral show was great and in St George’s hall we had a Chinese Dance troupe and Ken Dodd in attendance. Musically it wasn’t the Bunnymen’s best performance ever, but I lay awake in bed that night knowing that it was my crowning achievement with them, my ultimate Bunny event.
