John Entwistle : The biggest gig of all was cancelled because Martin Luther King was assassinated, and we came back after ten weeks with £300 each. There was a load of rubbish talked at the time about the grand job British groups were doing in earning all these dollars. Really, we were being milked dry by the Americans. Why, I even remember one concert where the fellow actually fined us for playing too long.
