Rick Westwood (guitarist, The Tremeloes) : There was plenty of togetherness, everybody jumped on the same big coach, but Ray Davies always kept himself to himself. He once took me home in his car, or at least his chauffeur did. I just sat in the back with Ray for four hours trying to make conversation but he just didn't say a word, just grunted. I knew all the other boys in The Kinks but never got to know Ray.
