Roger Daltrey (vocals, The Who) : Ever since Keith died we were always trying to recreate what we'd been with him. So in that area it was a total failure. We didn't do anything new.
Pete Townshend (guitarist, The Who) : The Who were sleepwalking along the edge of a cliff. The band had become a celebration of itself and was slowly grinding to a halt. But no one would make a decision to call it a day.
John Entwistle (bassist, The Who) : We just feel really knackered. Since Kenny Jones joined us we’ve been busy almost constantly and during our time off I’ve been making the solo album.
