Mitch Mitchell (drummer, JHE) : At the back of the stage was this metal sheeting. There was a radio station on campus, close by, and their signal bounced off the metal sheeting, so you got all kinds of shit feeding through the amps.

Neville Chesters (road manager) : Jimi went on stage after the Soft Machine, but the amps buzzed so badly he walked off and refused to play, so the rest of the gig was cancelled.

Jimi Hendrix (diary entry) : Wow. I'm stoned as hell in this hotel room with Mitch in Cincinnati. The gig? Oh, yeah, groovy.
